Who are we?

Our mission

Nouvelle-Calédonie Énergie (NCE) is the Caledonian company in charge of developing a sustainable energy strategy in response to the needs of the public network and Société Le Nickel (SLN).

In this context, it is responsible for completing the replacement of the SLN Doniambo thermal power plant.

This strategy is based on the following solutions:

  • Replacement of the Doniambo SLN power plant with a power plant of comparable or greater capacity, known as the “Centrale Pays”, with a considerably reduced environmental impact.
  • Replacement of the Doniambo SLN power plant by the organisation of a network for the production and storage of renewable energy.
  • Combination of the 2 previous solutions.
